ORCA BC Webinar: Statement Writing & Evidence Presentation

November 25 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Strengthening Investigations. Supporting Successful Prosecutions.

Join the Organized Retail Crime Association of British Columbia (ORCA BC) for an informative training webinar designed to strengthen investigative skills and improve the quality of theft investigations across the retail and security industry.

As we approach the busy holiday season, clear, professional statements and properly documented evidence are more important than ever. Effective reporting supports police investigations, Crown Counsel’s assessment of charges, and collaborative retail crime enforcement initiatives, including Boost and Bust projects.

We are pleased to welcome Detective Keith Gustard of the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) as our guest presenter.

Detective Gustard will share practical guidance on preparing comprehensive statements, documenting and presenting evidence, and understanding the key information investigators and Crown Counsel look for when reviewing theft files.

Professional Statement Writing: Preparing clear, accurate, factual, and comprehensive statements.

Working Together to Combat Retail Crime in BC

Strong investigations begin with accurate reporting, properly documented evidence, and effective partnerships.

We encourage retailers, businesses, contract security providers, and industry partners to share this opportunity with their teams and professional networks.

By strengthening investigative skills across our industry, we can support more effective police partnerships, improve case outcomes, and build stronger collaborative responses to retail crime.

Safer Stores. Safer Communities. Stronger BC.
